Description

Nestled deep within the misty mountains of Menghai County, Bulang Mountain is one of Yunnan’s most revered tea-growing regions. Its fertile red soil, abundant rainfall, and high-altitude forests create the perfect environment for cultivating robust and full-bodied Pu’er tea.
This ripe Pu’er, carefully crafted from large-leaf tea trees native to the region, embodies the true spirit of Bulang — strong, rich, and grounding.

Fermentation & Craftsmanship

Made using traditional wo dui (pile fermentation), the tea leaves undergo a meticulous process of moistening, fermenting, turning, and aging to develop their signature aroma and flavor.
The resulting tea has tight, glossy leaves with golden tips, producing a liquor that glows deep red-brown. Its fragrance is earthy and clean, carrying notes of aged wood, jujube, and brown sugar, reflecting years of careful craftsmanship.

Flavor Profile

The first brew reveals a thick, velvety texture with gentle sweetness and no bitterness.
As the tea opens, flavors of ripe fruit, wood, and molasses unfold, leaving a smooth and lingering aftertaste.
The body is warm and mellow, while the energy of Bulang Mountain gives the tea a steady depth — bold yet balanced, like a mountain breeze after rain.

Caffeine & Health Benefits

Ripe Pu’er tea is mild and smooth, making it suitable for daily drinking.
It’s rich in polyphenols, amino acids, and beneficial microorganisms, which may aid digestion, reduce fat, balance cholesterol, and support gut health.
Its warming nature also helps relax the body and calm the mind, making it an ideal tea for nourishment and reflection.

How to Brew Bulang Mountain Ripe Pu’er Tea

Western Style:
Use 3g of tea with 500ml of water at 95°C (203°F). Steep for 1–2 minutes. The same leaves can be re-steeped up to 3 times, increasing time slightly with each brew.

Gongfu Style:
Use 5g of tea in 100ml of water at 95°C (203°F). Rinse briefly once, then steep for 10–15 seconds. Increase steeping time with each infusion to draw out the tea’s layers of sweetness and earthiness.

Storage Conditions

Store in a well-ventilated, cool, dry, and clean place.
Avoid direct sunlight, moisture, strong odors, and contamination to preserve the tea’s rich aroma and smooth, aged flavor.
